From concentrate to roughage with Pavo DailyPlus

Pavo DailyPlus is a balanced roughage mixture made from, among other things, lucerne and timothy grass, the latter being known as a highly nutritious source of fibre for horses. Pavo DailyPlus is grain and molasses free and perfect to mix with concentrates or supplements. This means you can therefore turn the concentrate meal into a wholesome roughage meal! The fibre-rich structure of Pavo DailyPlus will ensure that your horse chews more and takes up to 3 times as long to eat the concentrate. The extended eating time and the extra saliva produced will promote healthy stomach and intestinal function. The added chicory and apple pulp (prebiotics) provide further support for the gut flora. The fact that your horse takes longer to consume its concentrate also helps prevent boredom and can be a perfect solution for calmer feeding routines.

Pavo DailyPlus is a concentrate that has been developed to stimulate the horses' natural need to chew their concentrate feed many times. The normal time for horses in the open air is to eat for about 16 hours a day. During these 16 hours, the horse has time for over 40,000 jaw movements or chewing. Our horses that are stabled chew for a significantly shorter time and therefore also fewer chewings. For 1kg of muesli, about 900 chews are required and only 600 chews for 1kg of pellets.
