Wool - part of the Icelandic lifestyle

In wet and dry, or in the bitterest cold - wool keeps you and your horse warm in all weathers.

Icelandic sheep wool is particularly good because it is spun with two different fibers – the soft, shorter undercoat and the longer, coarser outer coat. This special composition creates a yarn that is extra warm, while also being breathable and moisture-wicking. Icelandic wool yarn is also considered soft and therefore more pleasant to wear against the body.

Wool is covered in a fat, lanolin, which has antibacterial properties, which is of course extra good in functional clothing and, for example, horse blankets.

It's easy to keep clean and fresh, usually just hanging the clothes out and airing them out is enough.
