Care instructions for wool products

Washing instructions

Wool as a natural fiber has the ability to self-clean and therefore does not pick up dirt or dust. Therefore, there is usually no need to wash wool products. Brushing with a soft brush is sufficient. Regular airing, which refreshes and regenerates the fibers, is also very important.

If the wool product needs to be cleaned, it is possible to wash it in water by hand, unless otherwise stated. Kidka's wool products can be machine washed on a 30C wool program.

Remember to only use products intended for the care of wool, preferably with the addition of lanolin, which is a natural animal wax that can be used when cleaning sheep's wool.

Dry the blanket/quilt in a flat horizontal position and gently press it with a towel. Wool rugs/blankets/blankets should not be wrung out or hung vertically as wet fibers are definitely more susceptible to stretching.

If your duvet has become sweaty, dry it flat instead of hanging it.
