Icelandic wool is spun with two different fibers – the soft, shorter undercoat and the longer, coarser outer coat. This special composition creates a yarn that is extra warm, while also being breathable and moisture-wicking. Icelandic wool yarn is also considered soft and therefore more pleasant to wear against the body. The wool is washed, brushed and steamed before knitting, which gives it a soft and warm texture.
